  1. I run into similar issues here in Afghanistan when it comes to the New Year. They managed not to this year, but inevitably ISAF does some story about how some ANA dude is looking forward to the New Year. In January. So that is awesome, and this resonates. And the Keller post was excellent.

    • What I particularly enjoy is the internal politics of an international organization. Despite Ethiopia being a major presence in the East Africa subregion, and the inevitable emphasis on the ‘I’ culture of an ‘INGO’, somehow the regional office still manages to forget the Ge’ez Calendar and hold essential [life-saving] meetings on Ethiopian Christmas Day which Ethiopian staff are expected to travel for.
